Schrems II vs GDPR

Schrems II as its fondly know is the post court event which questioned the validity of the Privacy Shield data transfer mechanism.

As most companies will already know, Privacy Shield, was a transatlantic agreement which allowed US Companies to transfer personal data from the EU, even though the US did not meet the adequacy criteria in general.

Privacy Shield was the successor to the older Safe Harbor agreement, which was also invalidated because of action by Mr Schrems.

Schrems it would appear is making a name for himself by going after these agreements, primarily targeting the data activity of Facebook in Ireland.
